• Ireland's Largest Industrial Railway: The Guinness System

The Guinness brewery in Dublin had a remarkable narrow gauge railway, or more properly, tramway, within the brewery itself, as well as a broad gauge link to the nearby goods yard at what was then Kingsbridge station, now Heuston. Construction of the railway started in 1873 and the narrow gauge part of the system was closed down in 1975, ten years after the broad gauge link. This book documents the history of this rail system and contains many photos of the trains, wagons and locomotives.
