Founded in 1795, with what began as a small seminary of thirty students and ten professors, most of whom were fleeing the French Revolution. Maynooth College has been the subject of riots in London and has hosted kings and popes. Its chapel is one of the highest free standing structures in Ireland and the beauty of the buildings throughout the college make it one of the loveliest campuses to visit. With the colleges rapid expansion, it became the largest seminary on the world. The college has produced a large number of alumni from numerous sectors of society internationally. 

This book is a compilation of pen pictures, personal reminiscences and sketches on aspects of the college's life and history. All of the contributors have all been associated with Maynooth in many different ways either students or staff and in some cases both.
