This sequel to "Ballina stories and poems" has the same themes as the original book - broken lives and shattered dreams. The format is similar as well with its mixture of fact and fiction. A mixture of poetry and prose explores the tragi-comic ramifications of love, loneliness and heartache in two different worlds. 

Aubrey Malone was born in Ballina and lived there until his father, the well-known solicitor Hugh Dillon-Malone, retired in 1969 and the family moved to Dublin.
