Athlone Miscellany is a collection of the historical articles published by Gearoid O'Brien, author, historian and broadcaster. They have always had a wide readership, and are known for capturing a sense of the town and the community, in an informative and engaging way. Originally appearing in the Westmeath Independent, this is the first time these articles have been published together, and represent a valuable history of the changing face of Athlone.
