In the Summer of 1990, James Wyatt is sent to investigate water pollution problems in Leenane, in the west of Ireland. Middle aged, wit issues, he soon becomes entangled in a web of greed, intrigue and danger. He also finds love. The drama plays out against the beautiful but rugged Connemara landscape, and forces Wyatt to re - examine his life.
