On Saturday 22nd April 1916, a tense meeting went ahead in Dublin into the small hours of the morning to decide whether or not to go ahead with the Easter Rising. Present at that meeting were Pearse, MacDonagh, Plunkett and MacDiarmada. The fifth man attending was Diarmuid Lynch, the only man to be still alive a month later.
