Annagh 2024 is the most recent issue of the Ballyhaunis (Co. Mayo) parish magazine which has been published annually since 1978. This, the forty-seventh edition, runs to 208 pages and hit the shelves in December 2024. With over eighty written contributions and in excess of 450 photographs in full colour, it continues to document Ballyhaunis and the parish of Annagh, past and present, as it has done over four decades.

That it reflects a vibrant, thriving community is apparent in the reports of nearly forty local clubs and organisations currently active in the parish.

And while it is important to live in the present, we need to remember the past, and Annagh 2024 continues to chronicle our history through scholarly articles and the reminiscences of Ballyhaunis people from different eras and backgrounds.

These, along with a selection of humorous and insightful articles and inspirational poems, means there should be something to appeal to everyone in Annagh 2024. It should be of great interest to anybody with East Mayo connections, or who are interested in learning more about the most culturally diverse parish in the country.
